Nick Potter – Abstract and Comic Art

Johnny Watkins – Urban

Vincent Way – Landscapes.

Cities, landscapes, people, dogs, music, photos, drawn bits are all there. Digitised, played with, enhanced, layered and moved about. Textures and paint effects are used so that a photo becomes a painting becomes something else entirely. Abstracts begin with a line or smear and go travelling. The more you look the more you find.

The Main Inspirers…

Moebius – French Bandes Desinees artist, king of all things drawn and imagined.

Oscar Grillo – Extraordinary animator of Argentinian descent, huge personality.

Jeff Beck – Guitar master: words can’t do it, I suggest you just listen.

Gerhardt Richter – German painter with an extraordinary multi talent.

David Bowie and Tom Waits – Musicians like no others; unique.

George Herriman – Originator of ‘Krazy Kat’, a truly original strip in terms

of both drawings and language. Also wore great hats.
